If any items from your order are missing on delivery, and you have not been notified - please accept our sincerest apologies for the error. Please complete our online form and we will get back to you with a resolution within 24 hours.

Change Your Account Settings

My Details tab - Enables you to change the details of the Account Holder and Primary Contact details.

2. Browse Easily

Our search engine and our intuitive filters help you find exactly what you are looking for. We take special care to cater for people with allergies and accommodate your personal shopping preferences.

3. Place Your Order

(By midnight every Wednesday) We source from farmers we know and partners we trust from all across Australia. Every order is hand packed and delivered for free by 6AM on Saturday morning.

4. Provide Feedback

You can rate your delivery and provide honest and relevant feedback. We aggregate and share this with the Growers. In this way, you directly contribute to the long-term sustainability and profitability of farming communities across the country.

Payment Methods
We accept payments by Paypal, Visa and MasterCard. All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars. We do not accept payment by cheque, money order, cash or direct deposit.

Security
We do not collect or store any details from your Paypal accounts or credit cards. Every transaction occurs within a secure environment, and farm2door's payment system has 128-bit SSL security encryption certification.

Ordering

Search & Browse for Items
If you're looking for a specific item, enter a few words into the search box on the home page and we'll show you all the matching results. To better your results, try restricting your search to a particular type of product category in the drop-down menus.

Cancel Items and Orders
We understand that your circumstances and needs can change from time to time due to factors beyond your control. We will gladly cancel items from your order and provide you with a credit for the full amount if you inform us by 12PM (i.e. 12 Noon) the day prior to delivery. If your request for cancellation arrives after this time, we promise to try our best, but we may not always be able to process your request to your satisfaction.

No Waste Policy

farm2door fiercely embraces the philosophy of Zero Waste. It is our goal that no trash is sent to landfills and incinerators from our operations; and that we tread lightly in all that we do. We have systematically designed our business processes using industry leading standards for supply chain and sourcing to eliminate the volume and toxicity of waste and materials, conserve and recover all resources, and not burn or bury them.

Packaging Materials
Eskys - We understand that this choice of outer packaging material may be controversial for some, so we've put together some information that we think may be useful.

Our Eskys are made of Expanded Polysterene (EPS) - they are approximately 98% air (only 2% polystyrene) - which explains why they are so lightweight. They are also 100% recyclable, however we prefer that you let us handle this activity by exchanging the eskys at the time of each delivery.

This is the annoying bit - Styrene is a by-product of crude oil extraction, and at this stage we are yet to find a suitable replacement for the insulation and lightweight benefits that this substance provides (if you know of one, please let us know). The manufacturing process requires the use of pentane gas. This gas has no effect on the ozone layer, and is not considered to be hazardous to our health, making our boxes ideal for storing food. Steam is also used, as it causes the pentane within the tiny styrene bead to expand and allows the expanded beads to be moulded into the required shapes. Water used in this process is filtered and reused many times. Consequently, our eskys do not contain CFCs, and therefore have no effect on the ozone layer, nor are there any harmful by-products created in the manufacturing process.

Our eskys are 100%; recyclable. To assist the recycling process, could we request you to try and return them to us clean (i.e. free of dirt and contamination of other materials, whether food or otherwise)? Thanks :-)

Produce Bags
We want all of our products to contain the bare minimum of additional packaging. Some form of Packaging is unavoidable, however, as it is critical to prevent cross-contamination, and to maintain the freshness and appearance of the food products that you buy. So unfortunately, there's no escaping those pesky produce bags. We try to mitigate this by only using bags that are 100% recyclable.

Returns & Refunds

If you're not happy with any item, we'll gladly refund it. Simply fill in our online response form through your account - we appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us, and use the information you provide to improve our services. Finally, please choose the option you prefer - a full refund for the item, or to receive a credit in our store.

PS - In keeping with our No Waste policy, please determine whether the item(s) would make a suitable gift to a neighbour or a friend.

Our Systems

Provenance, Traceability and Community
We want you to know where your food comes from, and who grows it. We also want to ensure that farming in Australia stays profitable and sustainable. farm2door has been designed to try and achieve these outcomes. We want you to have all the information you need about every item that you buy. We then ask you to provide appropriate feedback on the food supplied. This is aggregated and shared with the Growers - by sharing honest and relevant feedback, you can directly help them improve their offering, and remain sustainable and profitable.

We buy from Growers all around Australia, and through all the Seasons. It is the Growers who set the price for their produce. We then sort and pack the products and deliver them to you within 24 hours of taking delivery for most items (we do hold onto some items, such as Tomatoes, Avocados and Bananas for a few days to ensure that you receive the product at optimum ripeness). In this way, we ensure that your food takes the shortest and quickest route from the farm to your door.

Supply Chain
It's been estimated that around 2-7% of Fresh Produce is wasted by Retailers and Supermarkets (RMIT 2013). This equates to 179,000 MT of food finding its way to landfill every year. This food waste is caused by a variety of reasons - such as Long Term Storage in warehouses, Multiple Handling in warehouses and retail shops, Overstocking and poor Stock Rotation on shelves, which results in fresh produce being thrown away by retail stores due to poor quality. Our processes and sourcing practices are designed to ensure minimal handling, and we use industry leading standards for stock replenishment and rotation of your food. This ensures that the food you get is fresher than you'd probably be used to, as well as ensure that we waste less than 0.5% of the food we handle. We are transparent about our food waste, and report the numbers every month.
